WHITE IPHONE 4 REVIEW

As we mentioned on Monday, the elusive white iPhone 4 is due in stores tomorrow, April 27. But it appears that the lucky citizens of Italy and Belgium already have their hands on the white iPhone that has been talked about incessantly since its delay began 10 months ago.

MacStories reported that a number of international retailers are selling the devices ahead of schedule. The delay was said to be caused by production issues with the white paint. The white color apparently caused problems with the camera lens due to light leaking from the front panel. The new phone supposedly has a new proximity sensor that features a different shape, and, therefore, eliminates the problem.

Italian site iSpazio reported that a white iPhone 4 had been sold in Italy at an H3G store. MacRumors said a reader in Antwerp, Belgium got their hands on the the phone at a Mobistar retail store. The reader said all the devices were on sale to the general public a day ahead of its scheduled release.
The same reader sent in a photo of “About” screen of the white iPhone 4. Shown above, the photo tells us that the device ships with iOS 4.3.1 Build 8G4, which is the same build released in late March to GSM iPhone 4s. As we mentioned earlier this month, Apple has released iOS 4.3.2 for iPhone and iPad.

Tomorrow’s the big day for the U.S. Do you know anyone waiting in line yet for a white iPhone 4, or will there even be a line?
